2015 S550
2015 S550 noob questions

Hello all. I just got a 2015 S550 with only 17k miles. I have never owned a Mercedes before and would like know if there is anything that I'm missing. Or is there any information that would be helpful? I'd love to really take care of this car and keep it running perfectly. I use to mod my cars way back. I'm open to any tasteful mods that anyone may recommend.

I believe the previous owner had the dealer disable the auto start/stop, which is fine. Also the touch pad doesn't really seem to do much.

Is there a Mercedes app that I can download to stay connected to my car? My previous car had an app that I could use to lock/unlock or start/stop the engine, and see how much gas I had. It was a 2015 Hyundai Genesis. I'd hope that an S Class of the same year would have something similar.

(I posted this in the wrong section earlier) :/

congratulations, I didn't know you can disable stop/start though. You should check with dealer on that

I was assuming you could since the car never turns off at a red light. Also, that button with the "A" and the rotating arrow near the knob does nothing. I figured that was what that button was for. I can push it and the little green light goes on/off....

I picked up a 2015 last year with about 17K miles on the clock. They are great cars but they do tend to lag in tech compared to much less expensive cars. There is a very basic app that you can subscribe to through MB called Mbrace but I don't think it does remote start not sure though. Touchpad seems to be a common issue that could either be a SW or HW issue. These cars are not really suited for any mods but that does not seem to stop some folks from doing some crazy things with them.

I really never use the touchpad. I wish they had left it like it was on the W221 ( a phone dialer that can be closed when not needed)
