I came across a 2016 with Porcelain Nappa seats. Black carpets. Looks insane. I was hesitant and it was not my first choice only for the reason of care/maintenance. The car was so perfect in every way, 1 owner not a lease, very cared for that I went with it. No regrets. Big wow factor when people open the door. But I am a clean freak and just make sure I stay on top of them. I keep a towel behind the seat in case I am sweaty or dirty. They hold up well and hasn't been a big issue. Blue jeans can leave some blue.

Thanks for the feedback. Nice car you have!

I'm real tempted. Old worn out jeans an issue? Or just new ones?

i have the porcelain - in the upgraded ‘exclusive nappa’ finish. it is elegantly stunning and i have had no care woes whatsoever. the leather is buttery soft but sturdy enough to hold up to wear. i have no blue jeans blue transfer at all. one caveat: the car is only 9mos old wih 7500mi to date.

As AJM stated the Porcelain is usually "exclusive Nappa" which is softer and more comfortable which I forgot to mention. I test drove a normal S550 then this one in the same day and was very surprised that the comfort level went up! No regrets. No blue jean transfer from my worn in jeans. But I would be hesitant to wear new ones. The leather is very sturdy and wearing well, looks new at almost 3 yrs old. I use a real leather cleaner and it cleans up well no soiling or residue. Like I said if I am at the garage hot and sweaty, I'll throw the towel on the seat before driving home. Black is easy and safe, the porcelain takes a minute of thought to preserve it. Not a deal breaker depending on your personality.

On my second car with porcelain with almost 5 year experience. No problem for me whatsoever.

My wife has the blue jeans issue in her car. It’s only from very dark designer jeans, not from worn Levi’s. The spare towel is a good solution.

Also in my beige S450, I have a custom canvas seat cover for the driver’s seat from autoseats.com. I use it during bicycle racing season when I know I might be dirty or have a lot of sunscreen on.

YEP! That was the only time I saw any transfer was from my wife's dark jeans! Oh boy that was a fun day! LOL

On a side note, I did see a Mercedes seat towel on eBay for this exact purpose. It fits over the headrest and is tailored to fit back and bottom nicely. Going to purchase soon.

My wife drives a 2016 E350 sedan with the light gray, Nappa leather interior and her driver’s seat is turns light blue from her jeans. However, with the use of some good leather cleaner, it pretty much all comes off.

So it seems very clear....women are the problem!! I mean their jeans! LOL I think men wear jeans more often, and they are washed out of that initial bleeding off of the dye. I was happy to see that what little I saw, came right off with little effort with a dedicated leather cleaner.

A true nightmare for me on my old GLE63S Coupe, I even had the entire interior ceramic coated prior to driving it. It was too much of a pain so the SUV had to go with only 2600 miles on it

We have the Porcelain white/black interior in the SL (2 cars so far for 2 plus years each and it had been wearing beautifully. Virtually zero wear or coloration (a bit from jeans but a cotton towel with plain water just removed it). Convertible interiors also get more of a beating from top-down driving with road dirt entering the cabin. Also this is one of the best interiors for the S-Class. Very elegant and classy, especially in exclusive nappa.

I love my Porcelain interior. Big wow factor and crazy beautiful every time I drive the car.

I am in the restaurant/food ingredient business - probably the worst color to have due to ambient dust on me and my clothing but have never noticed an issue...so far.
