Engine Noise-Injectors?
I have a 2015 S550. I have taken it to Local MBZ Dealer to fix excessive engine noise(sounds like a diesel or noisy "tappets") when under load like going uphill. The Service Advisor said it was the fuel injectors and not uncommon. They replaced the "lower steering shaft assembly" and that helped a bit but still unacceptable. Anyone else experiencing this and what solutions have been tried?

WELL aware of your problem. Have a 14 222 with similar noise which was corrected with solution in Xentry, an app for dealers. It works. Search this forum for ‘cricket noise’.

Look under the “sticky” W222 Bulletins to Date by our wonderful Konigstiger. There was a bulletin addressing this problem back in 2015 or so. The dealer performed the fix and the noise was way better on my 2015 S550 that I had at the time.

Ticking noise. Membership 222, 217 with engine 276.8, 278, reference attached bulletin.
