Hi everyone,

My dealer delivered my 2019 S560 last week and unfortunately the wood trim which is piano black Lacquer wood with floating lines came with some scratches. The scratches are not a lot however, it bothers me since I have a brand new car. I talked to the dealers detail manager and was told that they can’t polish that area since it’s so close to the bent and bottoms. Today the service manger called me and said that they will be able to order entire wood trim and replace the old one ! I wanted to ask if anyone has done this before or no ? I don’t want anymore cosmetic damages or experience rattling noise. Would you rather to replace it or keep the older one ?

Have them replace it if it bothers you, if done right it shouldn't rattle

My wife’s long gone 2010 E350 Sedan was cursed with Burl Walnut wood trim that faded horribly. This was a well known defect that year and every piece of wood trim—except the steering wheel—was replaced, under warranty, when the car was about three years old. It came out perfect—and I’m very particular. Good luck.

prblm w the blk is any time car wash wipes it needs to be a clean towel.... will sho everyting but Id have it replaced.
