Monday's update!
Today Kleemann Dyno'd my car.
The first picture is of the car on the dyno. The second pic is the dyno chart. Keep in mind that Colorado is over 5 thousand feet above sea level. The numbers will be higher once I get it down to sea level. They are some pretty impressive numbers! http://photo.starblvd.net/~c54tim/6-...=*45F03E5141D2 http://photo.starblvd.net/~c54tim/6-...=*47823E5141F6 |
Not bad, did you start saving for new rear tires :D
|
Great, congratulations! Can you put 335s on the rear?
|
Congrats on your new found power. Get is dynoed at sea level for sure. The dyno shops up there already compensate for altitude, the problem is you can't use the same math for forced induction cars because of the high manifold pressure. Ask them what the correction factor they used is. I've heard them use numbers as high as 17-20% in Denver. I would take it to HPS in Irvine for real numbers.

I will get it Dyno'd once I get it back. But I think I have a place closer to me. But they're welcome to review the charts and run the numbers again.

Im sure Timster will dyno at sea level- and Im also sure the results will speak for them selves- we have nothing to hide. Good one about HPS :D |
I would be curious to see what the difference in dyno numbers are between the mile high city and the left coast. What correction factor did you use so we can see the difference with a sea level dyno and see how close they are with this. Also Timster, get a dyno done at a place with the same brand dyno so you can compare. Dynojet seems to give the highest results so it wouldn't be fair to compare that against another brand like Dynomax or Mustang.
|
The only Dyno's around my area (That I know of) are DynoJet and Mustang.
I had the car ran on both when it was stock. I'm anxious to have it ran on both types. It will take some time both require appointments and they’re usually very busy. Tim |
Those dyno numbers are a little, well, hmmmmm, uh.
I have saw many Kleeman dyno sheets and NONE above 430hp at the wheels. Are you guys photo shopping this or what. |
Those aren't rear wheel numbers.

Those are crank numbers that are missing about 2psi of boost due to different atmospheric pressure at higher elevation. You are more than welcome to come when we dyno Timster's car (using 91 octane) in Huntington Beach next month. |

Here is the result from todays DynoJet testing in Denver:

After a bit of tweeking with the FP and MAF:
This is a WOT upshift into 4th- sorry about the narrow range here. Nice AF ratio at 12.5:1 AT THE TAILPIPE! |

$th gear roll on. This is a tricky one to pull off. You have to modulate throttle pressure, tipping slowly until about 4200 RPM then you can take it to the floor. If not, the trans will downshift and you will get very narrow band samples like the previous chart shows.
Please note that the operator stopped this run at 5700 RPM due to ESP intervention. |
So by the end of the day we have recorded between 417 and 437 RWHP depending on the temp of the engine. AF ratios are spot on as they always have been, various other memebers have posted Dynos from EvoSport that show as much.
I welcome further dynos of this or any other KLEEMANN car by third parties- the results will speak for themselves. And NO I dont have to be there for the results to count either ;) |
Very good numbers! Did you hear that Tim? It looks like you're going to be needing some new tires soon! :D
|
Tires! Heck I'm gonna have to tub the thing and add 13" wide wheels.
Maybe 335's Hoosers? LOL Tim |
Those dynojet numbers look almost identical to ours.
PS/// We are at 1,200 feet of elevation. |

Our current shop car is the silver one.
I personally built and tuned all of the cars seen on my site. |

You have an awsome ride there!
|
Tim, are you leaving the AMG exhaust, or are you going with the double one like Ben's?
