Real 190 evo2 tuning! (Dtm ITB)
Hi mb fans!
First of all, some bad quality pictures of my 190e 2.5-16 evo2 :-(
http://www.k-t-b.de/bilder/henri/n5.jpg
http://www.k-t-b.de/bilder/henri/n6.jpg
http://www.k-t-b.de/bilder/henri/n3.jpg
These are the only pictures i have which were taken 10 year ago before the engine blew up :-(
Anyway, now the 190 evo2 will get back on the road soon and i want to share some details of my project with you guys!
-the goal is a complete rebuilt of the 2.5-16 evo2 engine with carbon dtm carbon fibre airbox.
- individual throttle bodies from Vath:
They might be using ATEC parts and modify them...
- full modification in order to gain weight like the tuner Vath did on their modified 190 evo2 replica.
- the tuner Vath in Germany will be doing my mods since they built an awesome 5.8 -430hp c55 and a stunning 680hp rockon ml63 for me... they do incredible work! B)
I am aiming around 300hp for this project which is IMO really cool for a n/a 2.5-16 engine! :driver:
- HRE racing rims can't decide which ones...
http://www.hrewheels.com/wheels/series-c1/c100
Or
http://www.hrewheels.com/wheels/series-c1/c103
- not yet decided on the car colour either I keep the original evo2 colour or repaint it in silver mb.
- dtm cf splitter
- battery will go in the trunk
After the first step is done I might do cf hood, roll cage and many more things...
I hope you guys like it!
Btw I am thinking of either
9 x 18 with 245-35-18 in the front and 10.5 x 18 with 285-30-18
Or
9 x 18 with 245-35-18 all around
For the rims what do guys think?

Here we go the really cool pictures of the evo2 engine being re-built by Vath with special forged pistons.
Vath is doing some sick job imo

Hello mb fans!
I am excited, to finally post some pictures of my evo2 project...which is (finally) moving forward and almost complete :-)
Before people get upset at me modding an evo mb, please note that the roll-cage is mostly for the look and that all of the inside modifications, including the cf doors, can be put back to stock.
The goal if my project was
1. to get the Evo back on road and
2. To finish what Mb didn't do. Imo, the 190e evo or evo2 should not have had rear seats :-) and
3. Fix the evo2 engine stock
4.AND get a second 'almost' dtm engine with 322hp and 298 Nm for the racetrack (I will post pictures later)
I hope you guys like it :-)
