Trump; Right and/or Wrong

A discussion on the actions of his administration in their role governing the Nation.

Not for discussing what he says
Not for discussing what he tweets
Not for discussing the (so called) "chaos" of the administration
Not for discussing the handwringing over the above topics

Trump Wins Again!

Goodell issues memo to teams on national anthem

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday issued a memo to all 32 teams addressing the issue of the national anthem before games.

In the memo, obtained by NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Goodell stated that the league believes "that everyone should stand for the National Anthem," and that "the controversy over the Anthem is a barrier to having honest conversations and making real progress on the underlying issues."

Goodell also wrote that the NFL has developed a plan to review during next week's Fall League Meeting in New York based on discussions with teams and players. The plan "would include such elements as an in-season platform to promote the work of our players on these core issues, and that will help to promote positive change in our country," per Goodell.

Crime:

Dozens of MS-13 gang members nabbed in 50 Los Angeles raids

The medal of valor for trump -the amount of violent crime, murder, rape, waste of tax dollars on lawyers, criminal system burden reduced by Trump here is worthy of a medal of honor. Obama let these lawless scum pillage for the last 8 years.

For this I thank you, all Americans deserve to live in a crime free zone with no consequence of danger. I can't even begin to measure how many lives were saved with this.

Safety first!

This is hands down the biggest issue we face.

Yet the media and the democrats and sick losers on the left demonize this? gtfo!

Trump's position on the wall and controlling the border really can't be faulted by any rational person.
Trump's extension of that position to all immigrant and immigration, and especially to DACA is unconscionable.

And now I have pissed off both the right and the left which is why I could never run for office. Reason and common sense are liabilities in this era of peak-politics.

I almost agree with you on DACA, although like every instance of "amnesty" before it will have severe secondary negative effects.
The rest of his immigration positions are not that bad (but often poorly expressed)

My only disagreement is your position on the wall. Beefing up border security by hiring more agents/officers and giving them best, most current equipment, and building/repairing/replacing walls in areas where they will do the most good is the logical move. Attempting ( there are numerous physical obstacles and personal property rights issues) to build a wall the entire length of the border would not guarantee against illegal crossings and would be extraordinarily expensive. Border security, yes, wall, no.

Optimizing the method, sure. But the vast majority of the left is opposed to border control as some kind of war against minorities which just defies all logic.

I personally think tech has a lot more to offer here than either a wall or lots of manpower patrolling a whole lot of nothing. IR drones and real time IR satellite imagery would be way more cost effective.

I believe "tech" can do a lot, but "tech" changes over time, and "Old Tech" has often been shown to be as effective as "new tech" in may applications. The Wall or Fence may be "Old Tech" but even one of the most technologically advanced nations, Israel, has found the "old Teck" of fences is often the best solution for border issues.
(and I am happy to see AMGfaninVA expressing an opinion worthy of discussion rather the just arguing and posting MSM clippings)

Agree that those who tie border security to racism/xenophobia, etc. are missing the point, and bunch of brain cells.

Absolutely. Not making full use of available technology that can cover more ground and at no risk of harm to agents/officers is illogical. Walls and other barriers may be sufficient in some areas, but they arenít a panacea for border protection.

His travel ban orders affecting citizens, legal residents and legal visa holders is asine.

His position on repealing Obamacare at all cost is asinine.

His proposal for tax reform is asinine. Everyone agrees we need tax reform. Unfortunely the only reason everyone agrees is because they think tax reform will be everything they personally want and nothing they personally don't want. Which is to say, when it becomes clear that you're still going to be stuck with the IRS, still going to have arbitrary, opaque and burdensome taxes, as well as costly accounting in order to dea with taxes, then nobody really wants tax reform at all. What they really is for people like them to pay less taxes, the shortfall to be made up by people not like them. Trump does nothing to promote better policy, he just mouths off platitudes and impossible budgets to get the right *bark*bark*bark* from the right group of trained seals.

His position on the national anthem protests is asinine. (It's an NFL thing, not a government thing. If the NFL doens't get it handled, the NFL will be the one reaping the consequences, not the government or the general population.)

His position on climate change is unconscionable... unless the only conscious is the preservation of US economic dominance at all costs. That may very well be the only conscious... and legitimately so. But if so, be honest and admit it.

He seems to be too simple minded to ever realize that as the President every single thing he says and does carries with it the implication that it is an official agenda to be pursued by the administration.

He has absolutely zero interest in or capacity for developing actual policies that are reasonable or functional. Sadly, neither does anyone left in politics from either party, but that may be largely a side effect of his deliberate and self serving weaponization of all media everywhere.

Sadly, politics has devolved into one big media fueled spectacle at the coliseum, with the winner of the clash du jour being all the fans care about. Something has got to give. "Cult of the Amateur (Keen)" in music and entertainment is amusingly bad, but in politics and news media, it is terrifying. While Trump is not the only culprit here, by bringing his reality TV mentality to the campaign and to the presidency, he's single handedly moved us "forward/backward" 20 years in one year.

He has personally set back race relations in this country by 20 years, both by what he says, and by what he doesn't say about what his supporters say.

His impact on politics and polarization of the media through pandering and provoking plus his devastating impact on race relations may wind up being the legacy that defines his presidency for the next 20 years.

It worked in the Middle East

His position on repealing Obamacare at all cost is asinine.
Asinine is funding a failing program

Agree, to an extent..the only people who tax really affect are individuals north of 1,000,000/10,000,000 etc. The logic behind all this is better than any fiscal policy the fed can employ. We need to stop wasteful government spedning

His position on the national anthem protests is asinine. (It's an NFL thing, not a government thing. If the NFL doens't get it handled, the NFL will be the one reaping the consequences, not the government or the general population.
It became a government thing when they are protesting the government anthem

Paris Accord is a SCAM. We can use the $ for real issues.

He seems to be too simple minded to ever realize that as the President every single thing he says and does carries with it the implication that it is an official agenda to be pursued by the administration.
Politics are changing. I didn't think too high of OTerrorist when he invited all these scoundrels to the WH

He has absolutely zero interest in or capacity for developing actual policies that are reasonable or functional. Sadly, neither does anyone left in politics from either party, but that may be largely a side effect of his deliberate and self serving weaponization of all media everywhere.
He's been passing bills and laws here and there, the major ones are being stopped because the geezer's don't want change..they want stability. Political saboteurs.

Sadly, politics has devolved into one big media fueled spectacle at the coliseum, with the winner of the clash du jour being all the fans care about. Something has got to give. Yes.

He has personally set back race relations in this country by 20 years, both by what he says, and by what he doesn't say about what his supporters say.
He hasn't done anything that hasn't already been going on by the last administration. All this sit behavior was in effect because Obama didn't voice it and now the BAR has been set. I'm convinced it's the media setting race relations in the country.

His impact on politics and polarization of the media through pandering and provoking plus his devastating impact on race relations may wind up being the legacy that defines his presidency for the next 20 years.
This is false once again, you can thank media, the left and the Obama admin for letting this spiral out of control.

Or if you'd like you can blame the POLICE for murdering innocent blacks..

Overall I agree with parts of what you say, it's just not black and white as you put it. There is more underlying data behind all this.

I have only seem over reaching interpretations that covered "citizens". Legal residents and visa holders could have easily been adjusted for (except for the media fueled brouhaha over the whole thing.)
Not sure it was the beast idea, but from everything I have heard, outside of the few activist courts, it should have been decided as "legal" and addressed by the (feckless) congress.
In the end, it would have been gone in 90 days if the courts did not make it an issue.

Why?
It should never have passed, and the GOP should have had a decent replacement plan ready.

His pan is as good as, (or better than) any proposed.
Yes, everyone wants a "perfect plan where everyone but them pay. These is no solution that does not fit your description (hence not really a "Trump" issue, other than he is willing to actually try to do something)
But, please provide the specifics as to what you think is asinine.

Here we disagree. Climate Change as a regulation requiring crisis is a bogyman. There is not agreement that anything he has done is significant to the environment, and there is also agreement that the previous path would have been harmful to the economy.

Maybe that is a problem that he will fix. The Media can stop over analyzing every word from every politician and focus on actions.

I find it kind of fun watching the news, and realizing that they are reporting on a incorrect interpretation of what was said.

I think the media weaponized itself, and I don't mind him shooting back.
As for the policies, I would rather address each individually and not fall for the arguments created by over generalization nd simplification.

I agree where politics is, but we differ on the cause. This path is not one set by trump. It started with the worship of Kennedy.

I put far more of that on his detractors than on him. This is similar to the issue of Palin and the number of people who believed Fey's quote was from Palin.

I'll take his unartful statements over the polished lines of slick-***** and Obama-the-great any day.

That we will have to see.
There are many historians that will tell you, predicting future history form present events is far more often wrong than right.

With every passing day his growing body of work, like with every president, increasingly reveals his true colors.

Unfortunately, his true colors are turning out to be turd brown. Nothing but desperate ego preservation and boorish childlike behavior.

It really is embarassing to watch. Not so much for him, but for his family, for the party, for his supporters. I mean really, to be an actual Trump supporter (as opposed to being a republican holding your nose and praying we can make it to 2020 without major damage), how disconnected from reality do you have to be?

While Hillary has absolutely no moral compass that I can see... in 2008 I found both Obama and McCain to be refreshingly legitimate sincere candidates who were genuinely interested in doing the right things for the country. I think Obama got sucked down to the playground level by the birther thing, and pursued Obamacare too blindly and forcefully, and also failed to build any bridges across the aisle, but to be fair, while he wasn't building bridges, the right was actively burning them which is far worse.

Obama ultimately got sucked into too much identity liberalism, which led him astray on leadership and policy. Whereas Trump has no leadership or policy to be led astray from. He has proven himself to be just a buffoon. A pure buffoon, with zero redeeming value. A realization of every caricature and stereotype that was levied against him. How this man has any supporters left is just a testament to how polemic and broken this country has become. And how desperate the marginalized working white people targeted as villains by the identity politics of the left are for retribution.

I can't predict what the legacy will be. After all, he still has 3 more years to pull his head out of his ***. Unfortunately, I suspect that will prove to be about an infinite number of years too few.

I care little if his behavior is boorish and childlike in your opinion.

I don't agree about Obama getting pulled down. He went down willingly.
Even though I did not support him, I had high hopes he would be the pragmatists he said he would be.
That lasted a millisecond. He showed his true colors as a leftist idealist form the first days in office.
The only thing that saved him was he had the luxury of entering office at the bottom of a recession with almost no way to go but up.
If he had entered at an economic high, he would have been an complete failure.

EDIT:
Still guessing that the ignored posts are not worth viewing.

It really is embarrassing to watch.

Obama and Mcain from Day 1 were revealed to be frauds. The left has clouded your judgement. You have too many lefty friends who have shaped your thought process. Do you even know why you're upset..has your standard of living deteriorated so much in the last 10 months? You're obsessed with social issues and twitter and some meaningless metrics. You've posted alot of words but there is zero substance or explanation behind any of it..We can all do it. Let's hear explanations and depth in responses on what counts :Y

Do you remember in 3rd grade.."Billy, why don't you like this" = BECAUSE!

McCain is still huffing and weaving and brings destruction wherever he goes.

You also seem to base trump on your opinion of whether you like him or not or what the media "thinks" of him. Repeat after me " It doesn't matter"

Trump doesn't care..He does the "Right" thing. He doesn't care what the media or Jimmy Kinnel and the rest of the left think of him. You talk about true color, that was a line the media used for Puerto Rico which was a SUCCESS we saved alot of lives, spent alot of money and PR still botched the whole recovery effort. The media went after Trump? You kidding me. The citizens should've hung that mayor!

The media is now based on feelings and emotions...this is the problem..You bash trump but you can't really address why he is SUDDENLY so evil and terrible. I didn't know he was 3rd REICH suddenly.

Let's break it down what matters.

Economy: Yes
Consumer Confidence: Yes
Jobs: Yes
Manufacturing Jobs: Yes
International Trade Up: Yes
Stock Market: Yes

Safety: Yes
Tax Reform: Work in Progress
Health Care Reform : WIP
Wall: WIP
Immigrant Laws : Yes
War: Averted for now
Stance on Middle East: Passive
Can you sleep safe at night: Yes

Poverty: WIP
Roads and Infrastructure:Yes
Investment in Science: Yes
Investment in Education : Uncertain
Reduction in Crime in Black Neighborhoods: No - I view this as very important, if we can get those crap to stop killing each other and start contributing to society then we can increase benefits and minimize expenses.

Let's see did I miss any other crap that the left cares about:
Bathrooms?
Sex Scandals?
Same-Sex Rights?

Yea, that's your state. Suck it.

We only have 2 major domestic issues right now, Racial tension created by hate groups and a false internal war created by the media. I'm sure you can attest as I, that all ethnicties get along just fine here in NYC..This whole race war they tried to stir up is a COMPLETE LIE made to bash trump..It's been escalating for the last 8 years and probably hit summer 2016 when BLM was shutting cities down.

You see I give you examples, you can't say trump is a failure because he tweets about bull**** like CNN, NFL or other irrelevant talking points that have no weight in this world.

You see at least I can give an honest assessment. Trump still gets an A+ in my book, he is slaying all the major issues. Most important he is willing to stand up and fight for what is RIGHT! He has VALUES and doesn't tolerate bull****, punks or losers and will put them in line. The media bullies everyone and tries to shame them..you can't bully trump.

I don't need to LIE like some members do by posting false information and OP-EDS from worthless journalists or bash trump on irrelevant issues. Gossip Girls!

Instead of bashing the left, the media and the enemies of America, you bash the allies who try to help her..come on..this is insanity..this is where you're all wrong and have fallen to the media.
I guess no good deed goes unpunished!

Did anyone even realize if there was no Trump, we would be in massive decline right now domestically/internationally and probably in WW3 right now, you guys all have it good!
Of course none of you didn't because everyone is really disconnected from reality and especially living in a BUBBLE!

Who is John Galt?

Take's a lib to interpret that from my comment. If I called a Jewish woman an idiot..did I say that all Jews are idiots?

Based on previous discussion from www.heyjackass.com, those neighborhoods in Chicago are crime infested so everyone there doing the murders are pieces of crap.

Just one more question:

Do you support the Police NYCPhoto?
