A quick take
Put about 400 miles on the new R this weekend. What a pleasure to drive. It exceeded my expectations. The ride is taught, smooth and extremely stable in corners. It drives much smaller than it is. 
We were moving house this weekend, and was able to utilize the versatility of the car to the max...ferrying boxes, people and a combination of the two. The coup de grace was our ability to haul a 7 foot xmas tree inside (wrapped up of course) without disturbing a sleeping 3 year old. When he awoke as the trip ended, his first words were there's a really big tree in the car, Daddy."
I will post pix when I can...no time this weekend. Now for some liniment and a good bottle of red.
