What kind of tires should I replace the originals?

My 08 320 needs tires after 34,000 miles. They are Continentals & yes I rotated them every 5,000 miles.

I like Bridgestone from past experience, Michelin are always good.

I will not be changing tire sizes.

I'm looking for input

34k miles is not bad at all for an R class.

In the 18s, I would stick with the Michelin Latitude Tour HP. I have the Continental 4X4 contacts on my Q7 and at 16k miles, they are down to 6 & 7/32. But here in Houston, all roads are rough concrete - hardly any asphalt.

I put Michelin Latitude Tour HP Zero Pressure tires on my 09 R. I think they are as quiet as the non-runflats but the longevity may not be as good. I like the benefits of the run-flat tire and I removed the spare and jack for more trunk space.

I just replaced my Michelin's after 56k miles. Loved 'em, but towards the end they wore really quick.

I just put on some Sumitomo tires (OEM size) and so far 600 miles they are working great. They are a little bit more noise highway, but overall very stable and lots of grip.

I went with the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza's, this is my second set (had a set on an ML) and I love them. They change the entire ride of the vehicle, making it much more supple and less rough, not to mention quieter. A little more pricey than the other brands, but well worth it in my opinion, plus they seem to last much longer.
