This is awesome! Why did you end up buying two front bumpers? Did you find the one without lights first, and then you found one with the lights?

Also someone was selling the R63 rear bumper with diffuser? That's a pretty rare piece.

How involved was it to do the new headunit? I see a new amplifier and headunit but what else? Do you need a new rearview mirror for the microphone, backup camera, and rear seat entertainment to get everything to work?

2 front bumpers? What makes you Think that? The DRLs was bought new from Mercedes. Yes the rear was SUPER hard to find. Just super lucky to find one. Never seen one up for sale Before.

For rear Entertainment I dont go OEM since it is so outdated. I have new Android touchscreens instead. New S-class W222 look.

What are your plans exactly with the interior? When I was searching for an R class, I had come across a few that had a "two tone" OEM interior... I believe they were usually Ash leather, but with black carpet, dash, doors, and top half including the headliner etc. (I think those very few two-tone Rs were the only ones that had the black upper panels and headliners, and I'm actually considering going that route to get the upper half of my interior in black, as an OEM solution I think would be so much better than having an upholstery shop do it aftermarket.) Are you doing something similar, or are you going to stitch together the two different colored leather panels too...?

I'm also going to have to shoot you a PM about that cluster!

It will be all black inc carpet,dash,wheel,armrests and pilars. Then the seats will be biege and the upper part on the doors will be biege. I will take a black door panel and cut it in "half" and add the biege upper part to it. You will see.....

Ah cool- didn't realize it's the same bumper. I saw two pictures so I thought it's two bumpers. But one was just before and the other was after.

That's crazy on the interior- I've thought about doing something similar myself with a black/tan AMG theme but didn't know if it's worth the effort and expense.

Those LEDs in the AMG bumper are really rare. I think they only made it for the 2009 R-Class Grand Edition but not 100% sure.

Thanks for the info on the Command update- quite a few pieces to make it work.

Looking forward to more- especially if you do the Distronic retrofit!
