Vibration/noise at 2000rpms.
I have a 2008 r350 gas with 108k and I am still trying to learn whats normal or not.
When driving and the rpms approach 2000 rpms, I get a vibration. It happens when passing it, staying on it and droping to it.
It may or not be the same kind of noise when I first start the engine. I get a vibration noise then too, butits only for 2 seconds and was told that is normal.

so it depends on engine rpm and not on speed? Does it go away if you keep the same speed but up or downshift to change rpm? if so then it is not drivetrain related. It could be exhaust or engine mount related that is causing the vibration at 2000rpm

Yes, engine rpms. I was messing with it when driving. So rpms obviously go up and then drop. So it happens on the way up. Then not when it drops, until the rpms increase past 2000. But if I go above then slightly raise gas and lower the rpms it does it again on the way down. Also if I hold on 2000 it continues.
I would have thought exhaust and would not have thought motor mount, but I did read something else about that. I didnt think to use the shifter.
