how do you freking get the airfilters out ???

how do you freking get the airfilters out ???
on a 2011 bluetec.......
did look the videos and other posts BUT they are for Gaz engines, not diesels.......i could not figure how to get the airfilter boxes out.....my regular indy mecanic could not figure it out either........ it's is simply TO TIGHT...... any inputs ??
i get to the point where the boxes on each side of the engine are unscrewed and loose ( 2 bolts are off and the airduct to turbo inlet is off) but can not even pulling hard on them, can not get them out to open them......
of course i could go to a mercedes shop and pay big money for it but, i like to service my car myself and not spend money on things simple ( well that are supposed to be simple ) like an oil change or a freaking airfilter change.......

Fuel filter change is quite easy actually. You just need to get a proper hose clamp tool and you can reuse the clamps. You can also tighten and loosen the clamp that holds the fuel filter in place without having to remove the whole bracket.
You should replace your fuel filter every other oil change. Air filters too, unless you use filters like K&N, which should allow you longer intervals.

lol, i'm originaly from france, had a couple diesel cars before comming to canada.......my bluetec reminds me of that time.......3 times more powerfull........
my first car was...1.6 litres non turbo with undirect injection, 58 hp......loved it, ran it 170 kmh on some german autoban.....5 litres per 100 km on higway.....
love the R, love the room, love being diferent on the street.....love the diesel smell when filling up.......think i'm going to hate the adblue smell , hehe...

Fuel filter is easy if you get a quick release clamp tool . Very easy to remove and reconnect. if the hoses have regular hose clamps then you know it was not done by a shop previously.
