The R Class lives on
I am not sure how many know this but the R Class is still being built. As I was driving through Indiana two weeks ago I nearly choked on my coffee as I was passed by a car carrier heading east loaded with new black R series. They are built by AM General - yes they built the Hummer - in Mishawaka. Check out the assembly video - http://www.amgeneral.com/our-product...es/commercial/
Interesting to see how the R is put together.
Apparently, there is a huge demand in China for large, all wheel drive luxury wagons.
