DVD player stopped playing DVDs

DVD player stopped playing DVDs
Hi there,
I recently bought a 2007 R350 and I love it ;-) However the DVD player in the rear entertainment system has stopped working after a few times playing my Kids favorite movie. I was hoping it may just be a dirty lens and used a cleaning DVD, which actually spun nicely through the process, but still, the regular DVDs are not spinning anymore. So I took out the DVD player to see if there is anything obvious inside that can be fixed, but I have yet to find the proper wrench size to open up the casing.
Does anybody have a similar problem? Can I just take the DVD player to a store and get it fixed? And, if it comes down to it, does anyone know a good place to purchase a replacement for the player only? (not the whole system)
