Hi there,
Did you installed the HK subwoofer ?
basically I'm trying do to the same job, install a HK subwoofer in an 2010 R350 that was not equipped with HK, just basic MB sound.
I'm trying to understand if I need to do new wiring or it's just a plug and play job.
Also for the future I'm considering replacing all the speaker and also the amp with an HK one, any advise ?
Thank you

Seriously doubt that you can. The sub is a part of the HK system that has all the amps and control under the rear of the driver's seat under the floor. That is what provides the sub signal to the sub amp and sub.
There is nothing at the other end of that cable in the trunk to feed it.
What did you buy? Just the black sub box that goes under the rear where the spare is?
I replaced mine with a real 10 inch sub box and 300w amp.... I actually purchased the original sub in order to use the cable harness.. not wire cutting..
As for the standard sound system, all of the electronics is in the head unit... amps and all.. so in order to add a sub you would have to splice into a speaker wire somewhere to get high level signal etc...or try to connect it to the MOST bus with an adaptor.. but you need to research that a lot. The info exists out there.

Basically the optional Harman Kardon system for the W251 platform is called code 810.
I have already installed the Media Interface (UCI) 518 code as Mercedes option and purchased a bluetooth adaptor ViseeO WMA300A for music now what I’m missing is the upgraded sound.
The system harman / kardon LOGIC7 has 11 loudspeakers and a subwoofer while the standard system has only 8 speakers, my case I have the standard.
So retrofitting the R with the Logic 7 means changing all the speakers and adding another 3 new ones plus the amplifier for the speakers located under the driver seat and a subwoofer plus and subwoofer amplifier located in the trunk (spare compartment)
The list of components to be purchased are as follows :
2 HK Speakers Front Door - A2518200202 (or A1648203002)
2 HK Tweeters Front Door - A1648201902
2 HK Speakers Rear Door - A1648201102
2 HK Tweeters Rear Door - A1648201902
1 HK Boot D Pillar Left Speaker - A2518200302
1 HK Boot D Pillar Right Speaker - A2518200402
1 HK Dash Panel Speaker - A1698201802
Harman Becker Amplifier - A2518207689
HK Subwoofer Amplifier - A 2118705189
HK Subwoofer - A2518200002
I have not purchased the speakers or the amps since I need to be sure that I can install them.
The help that I need is to understand if the wiring is already there or for the 810 code is a special wiring ?
For the amp under the driver seat I have the connectors ? is a plug and play job or I need to do rewiring ?
I know that for the subwoofer and the amplifier in the trunk I will need to add some wires and connect the amp to power any advice ?
I'm asking this questions since I could not find the answers on the EPC/WIS/ASRA software.
Thank you
