Will research how to check for the corrosion question myself and carry on...

This is my Shady Lady!
Refurbished wheels and small paint issues
warn me ahead of time. Well it failed the test and basically my RClass has to sit as they flag it as Not drivable , unsafe, the ETA of recall parts is 4-5 months! I thought, " I wished that didn't happen!" They are offering a rental in the mean time m, I will have spent over 5k on some repairs and maintenance only to have it sit for nearly another half a year. I bought August 2021.
it's my fault that I didn't have it checked out by my dealer in the first place, but it appeared pristine and very good performance. Unfortunately there was a laundry list of repairs to do some of which the seller dealer will cover and I got an extended warranty (rather useless) but I am going to get one repair done on the oil cooler and all but the oil cooler (rad) will be covered and the seller dealer will pay for that one part. Collateral contamination to front serpentine belt and pulleys from the leaking oil, may be a future maintenance job. I did point it out and they said they addressed it before (using heat resistant silicone)they certified the vehicle for sale. It's been a journey I will say. Besides the right front air strut that was also noted and will be covered by the selling dealer, I've had to do rear brakes , left front control arm, and alignment(steering off centre), oh and whoever had it before that dealer removed the adblue and emissions parts also reprogrammed the ECM. Originally I just wanted my money back but decided to bring back the classy in this RClass and TLC what has been a neglected vehicle. I hope to get Shady back before Christmas.
In summary be prepared to have your vehicle sit for up to 5 months once it is tested, but yes they are offering a rental so you won't be stranded!

My 2012 R350 Bluetec is with the dealer this morning for the brake inspection and a B service. We will see, but here in Calgary the service advisor said very few are requiring replacement parts after inspection. I have not examined the issue personally, but he described it as a rubber band that was to protect the booster but caused accelerated corrosion. Perhaps we are too cold to rust here.
Question related to your service history. The dealer has highlighted for a while that I have a leaking oil seal on the oil cooler. Estimated service cost is over $3K! No drips on the driveway, and my usual independent (took over from dealer service a few years ago) has never worried about the problem, even though I mentioned it. Around the same time I did have leakage at an injector that caused driveway drips (the independent repaired this issue). I have asked the dealer for some pictures or a better description of the oil cooler leakage issue this service, so will see what they say.
Any comments on my possible issue appreciated. Did you have oil drips evident? Perhaps all the plastic valence panels make it difficult to see an oil leak? I certainly don’t want to just leave a potential trouble spot, but any advice appreciated.
I had the dealer check, and my airbag recall was done during one of my last dealer service visits, although I don’t recall the service advisor mentioning it at the time. That said, I am usually pretty zoned out when picking up the car now that there is no warranty coverage!

Cheers from Calgary
