Command Stuck on Logo, Any tricks to fix?, can I install used Command?

My command unit on my 2006 R500 is stuck on the Mercedes Logo. It plays the radio and I can adjust volume. Nothing else works other than the Eject Button which DOES open the screen. I've pulled the fuse (I found the fuse chart in my trunk) reset the system using that method, but it did nothing.
Cheapest Option - Buy a used Command unit on E-bay. Question, will it just work? Or does it need to be programmed by a Dealer?
More Expensive - Install aftermarket setup. Is there something DIY, or do I need a shop to do it. I'm fairly handy, but electrical has never been my speciality if I have to start tapping into other wires or other things, running microphones and wires allover, I do NOT want to take the car apart.
***UPDATE - Did some searching online and found that the NAV\DVD Drive\Computer on the unit itself is typically what causes this issue. With a bit of work, I was able to pull the radio, I broke one of the locking clips as it was not sliding down, but was still able to get the radio out. After, I started unscrewing lots of stuff till I got the entire metal casing for the Nav drive OUT. Plugged it back in, this time, no GPS antenna, and it works, I have radio and COMMAND back. I guess I don't care, I use my iPhone for Navigation when needed anyways!

The faulty issue here was the dvd NAVIGATION, nothing to do with cd for music.

I forgot to add, did you hear a beep that rang twice upon start up? I think thats the audio system telling me that a cd eject error was occuring but I am not sure.
