Brake light switch- carpeted panel removal

Trying to replace the brake light switch.
I feel stupid, but I don't seem to be able to get the upper carpeted panel off.

I remover the screw inside the top left, and the parking release handle .
It is all carpeted, and I don't see any other screws.
I have removed all the bottom screws.
It feels a little loose, but I don't want to jank on the panel

The you tube videos don't show the 600 setup. No help.

What am i missing?

OK.
I got the switch in, without the upper panel.
A **** job.
Not for the old, and fat.
Unfortunately, I am both.
