Your opinion on Lexus LC500

2018 LC500. Also a GT coupe in a rarefied niche. Won critical raves and design awards. Supposedly more reliable.
Will this be your next car?

I would never even consider it as a replacement for my S Coupe.
But if I had tons of money then I could absolutely see myself adding it to my fleet of cars 50+ Cars.

Terribly reliable I’m sure. But it’s too small for me, and Lexus have gone overboard on their angularity to try to make a styling statement.

They're having some teething pains with the new gearbox. The styling can be a bit polarizing. The NA V8 is a rare find these days and most welcome.

Also, the performance is poor.

I heard that these cars are not selling that well, but the magazine reviews have been quite good and feedback on the LC forum has also been quite good. I have only seen one of these on the road and it had the 20's which does not do the car justice as the 21's offered do (like our beloved C217 looks so much better w/20's vs 19's). Here's the review from MotorWeek...another source of QM traps of only 110mph, which may indicate the 5.0 NA motor may not be putting out the power as advertised. http://www.motorweek.org/reviews/fir...s-lc-500-coupe
Once I see one of these with the right wheel/tire package (like in the video) in person, I will reevaluate my opinion.

2016 S550 Coupe, 2015 GL 550
I'm picking up my S550 Coupe tomorrow, but I STRONGLY considered the LC 500 first. Both would be used low (like new) miles, but ultimately you get more bang for the buck with the S550. More technology, more luxury, and while both of back seats the Lexus definitely has a smaller back seat. I think the car is bad ***, but I've only seen 3 in person and they're much smaller looking in person. The exterior is nice, but the interior...I don't know. No one makes an interior like Mercedes. Especially like they do on their CL > S550 Coupes. My CL was my favorite car, and I typically get a new toy every 2 years. I still regret giving that car up, but I'm back. The S Coupe which I wasn't in love with the exterior originally it's growing on me. To me the S550 Coupe looks too much like the other MB if you don't look closely. Obviously when you step in you'll know it's not any of the other MBs but it's lost its unique look. The CL didn't look like any other car in the lineup.

I'm way off topic, I like the LC500 for it's exterior. But I'm not thrilled with the size, or interior. It has no where near the features as the S.
