Why the large price difference between S550 Coupe & S550 Sedan?

I’m looking to upgrade to a used 15’ S550 coupe and
completely astonished that the prices are nowhere close to one another??

how come I can get a 15’ s550 sedan for 46k but the
lowest price 15’ S550 coupe I can find is 67k??

Why such a huge price difference between coupe and sedan for similar year and miles?

Have you priced new versions of the vehicles? Roughly the same differential as used. Why are the new cars priced so differently? Most note economies of scale and market space as the major reasons. Coupes are mere fractions of the S-class total production and the competition in the large sedan category obviously generates pricing pressure downward for the sedan. There is much less competition for the coupe and the cabriolet. I too have noticed a comparably equipped sedan would save me a bunch of money, but I want a cabriolet, so I'm sucking it up and paying more for exactly what I want. Probably an attitude MB has noted.

Did a CARMAX search within 100 miles of my location. Used S class 2015-2017: 95 sedans, 5 coupes, 1 cabriolet.

I've been looking for an S550 coupe for a couple of months in S. Fl and have seen none in the $60's. The closest was a '15 non CPO at a MB dealer with Sport package and 39k miles for $75K. It had only about 5 months left on the MB original warranty.

2015 S550 Coup, 2017 Golf R , 2018 BMW M2 (wifes)
Well the easy answer is that in the German high end car world- Coupes are always more than Sedans- Coupe versions are their "own" cars that usually share no body panels with their Sedan counter parts. Coupes sell less and as a matter of fact the 2018-2019 MY of the S550 (56) COUPE is going away- possible the best looking car from Mercedes the past 20 years or so will be gone. But look at the Coupe vs Sedan- the 4 series from BMW Coupe is ~3k more. The C series coupes are more than Sedans- E series too. The S5 is more than the Audi S4 etc... But the cost difference of the S Coupe vs the S sedan is substantial- the coupe LOOKs far better and is a "lifestyle" car for sure. Just bought a CPO S550 Edition 1 with only 20k miles on it- 205 paid 86k BUT that includes 2 extra years CPO for a total of 40 months UNLIMITED miles FACTORY warranty! I will be putting up a review shortly.
