1982 300SD
Door Seal Leaks
I have recently purchased (August) a 1982 300SD, I brought it to the mechanic and everything checked out - the car is in very good shape for being an '82 and not to mention one in New England
However - After a while I noticed rust on the door jams after opening and closing the doors and to my surprise I saw large pockets of rust and even fairly large holes under the actual doors - the door seals must have been leaking for a very long time
So my question to you is..
A.) Is this an easy fix?
B.) I have been searching and searching for door seal replacements but can only find the cheap ebay variety
C.) I plan on this being a project car next winter - should I ride out these doors and find four others from the junk yard to replace them? Or stop the bleeding and patch the existing ones - are these doors structural?
