head bolts torque settings w126, engine 110
Hello guys,
New to the site here. Really sorry for my lack of technical vocabulary and poor English, I will try to explain my problem:
I recently sent my 1983 w126, 280SE for the first cylinder head service at 170.000 km. It wasn't urgent but there were signs of oil dripping to spark plugs and to the exterior of the engine through the cylinder head gasket.
Problem seems to be solved. BUT: immediately after this service I noticed an oil leak from a second gasket above the cylinder head which was also serviced (gasket changed). In this car model the engine has another aluminum block above the head block which houses the camshafts. Oils leaks from the junction between this block and the cylinder head (not the valve cover).
I asked the garage whether they changed bolts, they told me it was not necessary. I now know I chose the wrong garage for my beloved car. Can someone comment on:
1- torque settings for the cylinder head and this block above it.
2- necessity to change bolts.
3- Are these bolts stretch type ?
Many Thanks !

Out Of Control!!
Regrettably your thanks was given prematurely------my WIS is to current and shows very little documents on your vehicle and the 110.989 engine.
Your best bet is get with the donut girl at any dealer and buy her lunch. Alternatively, find some one with a copy of old WIS dated before 2013.
