380 SEC and 500 SE
Hi
I have two cars, both off the road for many years. The 500 is generally tidy and will be very usable once the gearbox is sorted. It needs a tiny seal between the oil pump and the main body changed, the seal effects reverse gear, a common problem I believe.
This car had a new engine from merc costing 6000 and has only covered 25000 miles since, a few years ago mind you.
The 380 is much worst as it has sat for many years with a damp interior and is quite sorry for itself. Not really worth fixing I guess but who knows.
I need to sort these cars out, once and for all. I have considered using the gearbox from the 380 to get the 500 working and through an MOT then I would break or sell the rest of the 380.
I would also consider selling both cars but I would not want to give them away.
Bit confused, so wondering it any one on here had any useful ideas of the best ways to deal with these two cars?
