Cruise Control will not “Resume” after braking.
on 84 300sd (w126)...
Cruise Control works fine, and when I brake, cruise dis-engages, as it should. However, after I brake, cruise will not “Resume,” or “Accelerate / Set,” or Decelarate / Set”...nothing. Simply, cruise control DIS-engages on braking, but will not RE-engage after braking.
To get cruise to work again, I have to turn the ignition off and restart the car. Then cruise control works fine again...until I brake again. Suggestions?

I already checked the Cruise Control SWITCH (126-540-0544) on the steering column. It's working properly (see below) so my CC Switch is not the problem...but it could have been, so thanks for your suggestion.
You can confirm that the Switch is working properly buy checking volts on the 14-pin (female) connector on the Cruise Control AMPLIFIER (002-545-1632 on my 84 300sd). With your ignition in Run or Start position...
pin...normally.....in Switch Position.......
1.....+12v........."neutral"..............+12v
4.....0...............ACcelerate / Set...+12v
2.....0...............DEcelerate / Set...+12v
6.....0...............Resume...............+12v
3.....+12v.........Off.......................0
