Question i want to know my cars power and how can i make it more powerful

Hello hi there guys I have 2 questions that I wana ask

1st

I have an 1990 560 SEC and was wondering what’s the power of its engine coz some people tolled me its between 220 and 240 HP
But in the Manuel its says that the car has an out put of 220 kW at 5000 rpm which is almost 300 hp so can anyone help me

2nd

What things that I can add to make it perform better and give it power

The american model doesn't have as much power as the german model, 240 hp is accurate, 300ish for german or european model.

Springs, shocks, supercharger, wheels, new engine, amg parts, brabus parts, ect. ect.

How much do you want to spend? Sky is the limit, I believe the engine has different fuel injection and exhaust and some other things, AMG has some 4 valve per cylinder heads that would be nice, a custom dual exhaust would be good, ebach or hr springs and bilstien shocks would lower it and make it handle better, pick a wheel combo, I think 18 inch is the way to go, there are alot of performance mods, but not as much as other cars thou...

some thoughts:

http://www.mbcoupes.com/w126index.htm

www.badbenz.com (123 with vette engine, just a thought)

Can always upgrade the sound to!

Well to be honest I don’t wana change the engine to the w140 cause it gona cost alot and might not work very well

I was thinking of changing the engine and getting a 5.6 euro one but mine is in a very very very good condition and i dont want to lose it so is changing the fule ingection sysytem going to mine more powerful im ready to do that and I was thinking of adding an MSD ignetion splitfier spark plugs u know a few light things what do u guys think or changin the engine is better

Supercharger imo haha, MSD is a good start, should at least make it more responsive than it already is, its a good start, there are 1st gear start chips that i'm looking at, if you can find a euro engine and want to install it you can always set that engine aside for awhile? There are some pretty advanced ignition options out there for these cars, saw one on ebay with a supercharger and the guy installed an adjustable ingition thingy in his ashtray so he could tweak it on the fly....The 140 v8 is cute i'd love to do that, if you don't have to deal with emissions a dual exhaust would be awsome!

The fuel injection is the same on both North American 560s and European ones. The difference is headers and higher compression pistons. The euro headers are good for 25hp and the pistons on the euro car are 10.0:1 versus the North American 560s 9.0:1...

Look at the dyno chart on that link to benzworld. That's 346 RWHP or around 430 crank with an automatic. The TDI system would only give you around 240 RWHP and that's pretty weak for almost $8,000.

Catalytic converters restrict air flow so that would probebly make some improvement, but something to think about, I'm not sure about this but i'd suspect that the exhaust is tuned, so removeing the cat might be worse, on lesser cars that would easily improve preformance but on these cars maybe not? Was talking about this with my brother and figured it just needs to be tried..., a nice set of headers and a full dual exhaust might not improve preformance to much with a stock engine but will look and sound better!
