Nope, but if it started shaking while in Park somethins IS broken, goto a garage asap to get it fixed, it will take time to fix whatever it is.

Dude, you seized your engine. So basically now your engine is a really big paperweight. even if you some how manage to get this engine running again, it will never be the same. You might as well junk the car, cuz its worth nothing.

Sorry to hear that about your car. Well, I asked my MB mech and he said he has never heard of anyone doing that with no oil. By doing that, you are just adding unprotected stress to the engine. BTW, he would like to know WHO told you to do such thing.

Let me get this straight.... you drained the oil out of your car and then found it wise to turn it on with NO oil in it? Ok I think you said it best when you said "I am in deep ****." But I must say that your car is the least of your troubles.

The fact that the car worked after the fist ten times you did this is a miracle.

Very interesting, your situation. Five seconds with oil drained should not have siezed the engine. When I re-read the follow up posts and saw mention that this is your modus operandi for past changes, it seemingly points to cummulative effect. But I have no knowledge of how past oil deprivation would have contributed to your latest bad luck.

What were the durations of your previous, run-w/o-oil?

Not to rub salt in but you did bring this on yourself. Turning the engine on with no oil during the oil change has to be the must stupid thing I have ever heard of. Without oil the timing chain tensioner is not pumped up not helping that any, I could imagin the poor valves and cams screaming. Ouch talk about abuse. Well you probably seized the thing, I sudjest learning from your mistakes and never doing this again.

Btw whoever told you that I would forget whatever else they told you fast.

this one was actualy the longest , usually it was only turn on turn off thats it .... not even one second....and at the timei turn it on i would have someone poor kerosene in so it would clean the engine this time i had someone check oil filter to see if compression was okay.....i swear less then 5 secs if not just five....i think i timing chain is gone...which i was going to replace anyways soooo im takiong the car to the mechanic today see what he has to say ...if the engine is gone....then i might consider sellling it schwars ima have to talk to my dad first....

per the title of this thread, you ARE deep ****

I can't believe the stupidity of people today. Those who told you to do this neat 'trick' are stupid enough, but ultimately it's YOU that wins the Darwin Award in this situation for even listening to them in the first place. Oil+water= the life of an engine. Remember THAT you silly moron. No offense. And learn to spell! You will be cleaning my kids' toilets if you don't go buy yourself some brains and some common sense, and I don't even have kids yet!
Don't ruin any more Mercedes with your low IQ, K? Mercedes' are for the educated class, not the dumb class. You need to be riding the bus, and after this incident I'm sure that's exactly what you'll be doing. Thanks for the laughs. You got what you deserved.

doofwopp:
There may have been other problems lurking and your creative oil change step just pushed it over the edge. If, as you've written, the previous 10 occurances of turning the engine w/o oil for no more than 5 seconds each time would not have been enough to cause your engine to become so damaged as to not start.

On a cold day, it'll take at least that much time for oil to circulate from the sump. For that short a period of time just about any car w/o oil will still run and not sieze up. There's something about this story that just doesn't add up.

Though I'm tempted to whack you with a piece of wood for even running your car w/o oil, there's that analytical/techinical/argumentative side that is saying that 5 seconds of engine running w/o oil in the sump should not damage your car......though very ill advised.

well i have great news...my mechanic said its nothing serious he said he believes that the compression on the cylinders drop drasticly and thats why the the engine isnt turning on and some other stuff he was saying i didnt really understand him...hes polish so his english has a very strong accent but he said its nothing toooo bad and its fixable and the engine didnt get damage cuz i had turn on the car earlier to move the car which circulated oil all over the engine...when he gives me more info ill let you guys know

Edit your post as you're barking up the wrong tree.
You whack me with a piece of wood and I'll take it away from you, and you can probably hazard a guess as to where I'll shove it
Merry Christmas and don't EVER run an engine without oil.
