What were the durations of your previous, run-w/o-oil?
Btw whoever told you that I would forget whatever else they told you fast.

Don't ruin any more Mercedes with your low IQ, K? Mercedes' are for the educated class, not the dumb class. You need to be riding the bus, and after this incident I'm sure that's exactly what you'll be doing. Thanks for the laughs. You got what you deserved.
There may have been other problems lurking and your creative oil change step just pushed it over the edge. If, as you've written, the previous 10 occurances of turning the engine w/o oil for no more than 5 seconds each time would not have been enough to cause your engine to become so damaged as to not start.
On a cold day, it'll take at least that much time for oil to circulate from the sump. For that short a period of time just about any car w/o oil will still run and not sieze up. There's something about this story that just doesn't add up.
Though I'm tempted to whack you with a piece of wood for even running your car w/o oil, there's that analytical/techinical/argumentative side that is saying that 5 seconds of engine running w/o oil in the sump should not damage your car......though very ill advised.

You whack me with a piece of wood and I'll take it away from you, and you can probably hazard a guess as to where I'll shove it

Merry Christmas and don't EVER run an engine without oil.
