My 97 twelve cylinder nightmare

Hi all I知 looking for some insight into an ocean of problems I知 having with this car I posted on here before, however since then I have become friends with a former Benz dealer mechanic who worked 12 years at rusnak Beverly Hills and other Benz dealers and I have learned much more about how these things work and are repaired (newer benzes less so W140) the car in question is a black 1997 s600 coupe with 199,800 miles currently that has too many issues
to focus on in entirety that I知 trying to focus on one
thing at a time and I want some insight on how to make it stop fuming it throws no codes doesn稚 scan with odb 2 it only gives information with the 38 pin connector my friend has a pretty nice Autel scanner and nothing comes up wrong with the motor electronics except for a stored code for a Vacumn leak that my old mechanic taped up temporarily (stored code) also my other mechanic friend checked the air fuel trims on his snap on scanner and everything was good the Benz mechanic found a o2 sensor was bad we changed it still fumes come mainly into the interior and cause a headache after a few minutes it I put some liquimoly injector cleaner in it changed the air filters changed the hydraulic fluid and filter changed the conductor plate trans filters replaced the gear oil and all I also flushed the radiator with regular water only but put back in mercedes oem coolant I bought 12 new denso iridium power plugs but I知 not going
to put them in until I feel comfortable buying those coil things that break off when you remove the coils I changed the oil 200 miles ago with Mobil 1 high mileage car runs pretty well actually but it fumes badly and my mechanic blames the fuming on it being old but it really is bad and he just isn稚 paying attention because he痴 busy with paid work and I知 like his intern but I知 not valuable because I don稚 know how to work on cars that much we致e become pretty good friends but he痴 really busy and he痴 always pulled in 10 different directions I read somewhere someone with a 96 s600 had the same issue with odb2 and emissions issues with no codes and he ditched the car but I don稚 plan to do that even though everyone tells me to ditch this gargantuan worthless money pit but I have an issue following through with things so this is my challenge to myself also I refuse to let this thing get parted out I mean **** it痴 got a suede headliner and a dohc v12 any help would be appreciated my other issues are related to the comfort control module which I致e been told isn稚 the module it self as I bought a second working one off eBay so none of the seats mirrors or windows work along with both mirrors being broken and both seat belt extenders broken as well the leather and headliner are pretty good the rear shade is stuck up and the paint and body are in need of some work too the Electrical I am keeping separate from mechanic in terms of my list I bought a 98 cl500 for $400 running a few days ago for much needed parts including xenons which we replaced with halogens from a 96 after we bought it with the small accident and the 98 has the parktronic bumper I need as well as **** load of spare and electrical parts and some valuable parts as well hydraulic struts for my stock pile and pump I知 deep into this project and I need some help with the running state and please excuse this huge run on sencance and grammatical errors it痴 2:30am and I知 typing on my phone which is glitchy on this forum I知 also 17 so anyway please help sorry for the rambling I could go on for a while longer.

That sounds feasible, I値l talk to my mechanic about it. Thanks for the thoughts I hope the engine isn稚 bad as this isn稚 something one would want to rebuild ahah. I found a 67k mile m120 for 1,700 but I would like to keep it original because it may be valuable some day and I don稚 have the change laying around...

As seductive as the Benz V12s are, they are all money pits. Hope you get your vehicle problems sorted out.
