Hi all,

Just bought this 1999 S500 this summer to go along with my 2002 SL500 Silver Arrow Edition. Body could certainly use a refresh, but the interior is practically mint. I've always wanted a W140 and the dream has come true!

Got a slight hiccup with the trunk closing mechanism. The trunk will suck down if I give it a slight push sometimes but even if it does it seems to release and raise a couple mm a minute after. Trunk is still locked but just visually OCD about it.

Cheers!

Sounds like vacuum line, pump is operating correctly that's why it is releasing (shut-off).
