1997 S500 Misfire Good Compression 0 Running compression in Number 4 Cylinder?
I won't bore anybody with a long story, but I took my car up to 100mph and the car started missing. I Took it to 2 different shops that either couldn't figure it out, or didn't want to fix it. The last shop said the car had good compression, but 0 running compression on cylinder number 4. To move forward he said he needs to remove the cylinder head. Any suggestions or ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks in Advance!

HUH?
You have good compression.
But one cylinder does not when engine is running?
And how did he figure that out? - never heard of a running compression test.
Any codes?
Check cats for clogging
Check fuel system.

Yes, exactly my thoughts thank you for the reply! I looked it up and apparently it's a real thing. I found this article through AllData, I will post a link.

The only code I have is for Misfire Number 4. I have a Bi-directional scanner and it is showing me misfires on the right bank primarily cylinder 2 and 4.
To make everything extra sour is I had the car sold. I went and smogged it and was going to deliver the car the following day. I took it out that night just to have one last hoorah got it up to 100mph two times and the check engine light was blinking.
Some days you're the bug some days you're the windshield. :/

2008 CL65 amg cylinder 5 miss fire
Hello, I have a 2008 CL65 amg. I was recently driving home and my car loss power and white smoke came out of the tail pipes. I took it to good Mercedes mechanic and they told me cylinder 5 wall was scored, they also mentioned fuel rail was cracked which is the on the same side of the bad cylinder. When this issue first happened the engine was making a ticking noise, now since the car has been sitting in the garage I don't hear the ticking noise once the car has been started. The Mercedes mechanic told me I am going to need another engine. My car has around 100,000 miles on it. I have been looking for a used engines however I have not been able to find any used engines with low miles. Most of the used engines I have found have around the same mileage as my current engine, I have passed on buying these engines because I didn't want the same problem to happen again. Also most of these used engines come with a 30 to 60 day warranty. Since I have not been able to find a good used engine with low miles, I though I would just have my current engine rebuilt with new pistons and having the cylinder walls re-sleeved with steel sleeves. So far I have received estimate of around $10 to $15,000 to do the work, which is right around the same cost I have seen for used engines. This has been a long grueling process, can any one help me with any advice? Thanks
