2006 S-Class Pricing & Incentives

I'm thinking of trading in and buying a new S-350; anyone know what dealer discounts I might be able to get in California? I get M-B invitations for leasing a new E or S-Class but I'm not interested in leasing.

With the new model just around the corner it seems like there should be some great deals out there... I would think that the factory must be doing something to help dealers move out the 2006's.

I'll tell you what I got on a 2006 S 430 last month. $7,000 factory to dealer cash, $3,000 owner loyality (I didn't know about this), plus another $7,000 off the sticker for a total of $17,000 off MSRP. I know last month the S 350 factory to dealer cash was $5,000. This month all the auto websites, Edmunds, Cars, KBB are showing no factory to dealer cash on 2006 S Class. Supposedly they expired on Nov 30th but I suspect they are still there.

Good luck in you search. Please report back on what the dealers tell you and on what you got.

Thanks for the information; the Winter Event seems to be if you want to lease, which I don't. Nothing listed for a typical purchase that I can see...

Hmm, what's the $3000 owner loyalty? Who pays this? Do all dealers honor this? Sorry for the questions, but this is news to me...

It was news to me too and I never heard a thing about it until the dealer mentioned it and I didn't ask a lot of questions because I wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth. I am beginning to suspect that is what they called an additional $3,000 but it may have been an additional unpublished incentive from MBNA to them. I know the $3,000 was hard money and it had to come from somewhere.

Maybe only their largest dealers or those with superior CSI numbers get the additional money. We already went into the holdback for part of their discount and I know there wasn't another $3,000 available in holdback money.

Was this a lease or finance? Did you have to go through MBNA then to get the $3000, or could you go through a different lender?

It is leased through MBNA but I was told that lease or purchase did not matter. Maybe using MBNA was the difference but the lease factor I got was lower than the one shown on the Finance and Insurance forum. In your auto fleet listing you are showing the S 350. Did you already buy it and how much was the final price?

Yep, just purchased. Final price was a shade under $56k before TT&L. We've never gotten any $3000 owner loyalty incentive, I'll have to ask about that the next time I'm in. Too late for me now, if it is/was indeed applicable to non-MBNA financing, but at least I'll know for next time.

BTW, any one know if you're a member of the MB car club (whatever it's called) whether you get any money back? BMWCCA offers cash back if you've been a member for at least a year. The amount differs based on the model you purchase/lease, though.

All dealers in Norther CA have offered me about $13K discount off MSRP. When I asked about the $3K customer loyalty rebate, none of them have heard about this?? So I'm holing out for a week or two, hoping I can get that additional discount. I'm in the market for an '06 S430. Will all the options that I wanted (AMG, Lighting, Heating, CD Changer, Keyless Go, Parktronic), MSRP is around $83K. Best price I've gotten is $70K + TTL
