Shifting under normal driving

When you guys are driving normally, can you feel the automatic gear changes? How apparent are they?

Mine isn't really bothering me yet, just it feels a tiny bit "thumpy" when going from one gear to the next, esp. in the morning.

Morning is fine, the tranny is cold.

Other then that, it depends how I'm driving. If I'm in sport mode (BMW here) then yeah, I can feel the shifts (but not the gears themselves being shuffled, it's the extra push back into the seats I feel).

If you're feeling knocks, then you need to get that checked out. A proper tranny should not be knocking, especially on a luxo-cruiser like yours.

Hello,

It is quite likely that the shift is not so smooth in the morning as the tranny oil is not warm - it should take about 10 mins driving to get rid of this. Once warm, the gear change is barely noticeable. Mileage will have some effect too.
