Whynot?

I cannot get the Homelink to "read" my Genie rolling code door opener. It will not register in the "mirror." Followed all the instructions, any ideas? I had no issue programming my 2004 Yukon.

Just 3 of 73 hits with a simple search using "rolling code." One addresses Genie.

Thanks for the search tip... It required the "Canadian Programming", interesting for a car that's never been out of California since it got off the boat.

I also can not get mine to work. I have replaced both openers (2 months ago) and still the new ones are not responding to Benz.

on my benz I had to get the homelink to mimic the Genie remote.. Then I have to get the garage door opener reciever to take on the new cloned genie/homelink..

i think the manuals weren't updated when they changed the homelink system. i had a 98 that worked if you followed the manual for rolling code. our 00 doesn't, but it works if you first do non-rolling then rolling programming. the 06 manual includes the info about having to do non-rolling programming then rolling programming after.

Experiencing the same problem with my S430 2003. Replaced garage motors two each, with new Carftsman model 139.3043. Does anyone know if there is an upgrade to the rearview remote? My wife's 2011 E550 has no problems programming to both.
