Angry (New to forum) Suspension problems

Hi fellow MB owners,

I am new to this forum, and I have recently purchased a W220. Few months ago I had this sqeaking from the front left suspension whenever I drove slowly, and the noise was driving me crazy so I had the suspension replaced, which was very dear because I was not under warranty. The noise was gone, but last week the right front suspension is now sqeaking really badly. It is a MUST that the suspension to be replaced or are there other possibilities that could fix this problem?

a sqeaking noise is generated on the right while from time to time the left one knocks, but the left one has just been replaced so i dont think thats a big issue.....one thing i want to ask.....if i do not get it fixed......will it ruin other equipment? because my car now is very obviously low on the front right.....?

If you car is low only on one side then you have a leaky shock. Usually the top of the strut you will see a crack on it. I would get repaired very very soon. As long as the leak remains, the compressor will run all the time and that will go out as well.

hey Rayz, did u ever get that problem fixed? I had the same squeaking noise along with a tapping sound while the vehicle rose from airmatic and I had several things replaced from lower control arm to upper wishbone arm to engine mounts to having both struts replaced and the air compressor for air matic and still the same problem. I'm $3gs into it Any ideas?

it sounds like one of the arms needs to be replace.. i was getting that same squeaky noise and a knocking noise its probably the control arm. it needs to be replaced after 60kmiles
