2006 S430 Telephone & Command System

I would appreciate some direction.

When I purchased my 2006 S430 (my 1st Mercedes) with Nav & Sat radio, I failed to realize that the Telephone and command module were not part of the package. Afterwards I enquired about it and was told that it would cost approx $2400 plus phone to install the capability.

Can anyone provide direction as to how (if possible) I can tie a phone into the system at a lesser cost?

Thank you
rob

YOu must have the comand system mixed up with something else because all S class cars come standard with comand Navigation. Perhaps you are merely missing the DVD software?
As for the phone, that about right for getting the system to work.

BTW congrats on your first BEnz. I wish my 1st benz was a year old S. Maybe I would not have had so many cars in the past 4 years...(smile)..

Do you have a VCM (voice control module)? Push that mic button on your bottom right side steering buttons and say "HELP" If you have a VCM a list of commands that you can control will be stated to you. If nothing happens then you dont have a VCM in which case MB will have to install a VCM and pre wire cradle for phone functions and that will be about $2500 plus phone of your choice. You could also upgrade with a bluetooth module. Do a search on this forum and you will find a few info on this.
