Check Low beam

Guys tell me if this is worth taking to the dealer. I started noticing the same malfunction on my car. The low beam, it goes out sometimes, but when I shut the car off and restart it goes away.

Have amyone experience this before and what can I do to eleviate.

Sometimes this happens when the bulb is going bad.
Try changing the bulb first because that's more than likely what the dealer is going to do anyway.

And if the bulb change doesn't help, you may need to replace the ballast.

I assume you have xenon low beams. If so most likely the xenon lamp/burner is on it's way out. One way to check is if the lamp has a blackened section, it is on it's way out. There probably is a stored code, but if it is intermittent it will not show in your messages in the instrument cluster. If you go the dealer and it is the xenon lamp they willc harge you an arm and leg for the lamp.
