i'm hooked!
 

My first euro car seven years ago was a BMW 5 series, an E39 (angel eyes), sold it then got a CLK 230, sold that and i now have an ML320.

Its time to sell the ML (still is great but i just wanted to move a little) so i was toying with the latest e-Class. I tried and tested several pre-owned e-class but it just didn't catch me, either the price was still too high for a used one or the car and i didn't jive. I also tried the X-5 but it didn't bite my heart. I tried an S type Jag for a month or two but it didn't feel as solid as a Merc or BMW. Plus my friends kept teasing me that i had an expensive ford mondeo

Last week someone demoed an S class (W220) and asked me to take it for a test drive. I liked it... liked it a lot. The price was kinda steep for its year (a 99) so i went off looking for another.

The one i saw was an S320 Long wheel base and was as fresh as new except for a few cracks on the leather around the front door openers.

I took it out for a spin man! I was hooked. Suddenly i forgot about the E class and the X-5. It was marvelous, the ride was soft and firm at the same time. It hugs the curvy highway like a 5 series and yet it was a bigger behemoth. The seats were fantastic! It had the suppleness of the 5 series but the hugging qualities of the CLK. I tell you the only thing i'll miss from the ML320 is the ride height which i never got to fully utilize as i was too chicken to forge rivers and such.
