A/C is not blowing cold air

Hi, I have a 00 S500 and my air conditioner stopped blowing cold air yesterday. I have checked the A/C Diagnostic code and I am getting error K1000. Does anyone know what this might be. I also tried charging the system and it is not taking any gas in. The EC light is off as well. Please help me out...

I don't recognize that code as an A/C code; there is a list of them here: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w220...nic-choke.html

There are other fault codes at http://www.bba-reman.com/content.asp...on_fault_codes and http://www.benzworld.org/forums/v-cl...-will-get.html (the second of these may be a repeat of the first in a different format). However, the code you list does not appear, so sorry, they're not much help.

If your fan is operating with normal output, but you get no cooling, the first thing I would suspect would be the duovalve. See
http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w220...ome-vents.html for some troubleshooting hints and https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...rol-valve.html for great photos (it's for a E-Class, but many of the steps would apply to a W220). A search of this forum and MBWorld will get you more on the duovalve.

Also: If your car has been in a lot of rain lately, and the fan turns but you get warm air and almost no airflow, the drain for the intake well in front of the passenger side could be plugged - and that could lead to serious problems. See http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w220...ll-rain-2.html and follow the imbedded links.

2000 S500
I too have a 2000 S500. After a "Dead" battery and MB Roadside Assistance doing a jump start, my right front AC is cold, but the left front is warm. Also, the rear AC is warm. HELP!!!
