i own a 2002 W220 and the trunk is stuck - it does not open
i have tried the Key, the remote, the release on the door and nothing.
i have pulled the yellow 20 AMP fuse and nothing.
nothing i do will open it - if anyone has suggestions I welcome them.

You weren't able to open it manually with the silver key that is part of the starter key? My car has been stored all summer and the battery completely died. The only way I could open the trunk was to manually use the silver key in the trunk itself to open it.

Using the metal key is not quite as simple on the W220 as on some cars.

Pushing up while turning the key in one direction should open the trunk. If not, try having a heavy friend push down hard on the trunk lid while you turn the key.

Pushing up while turning the key in the other direction does not open the trunk - it disables the electrical opening system, both remote and door button. This is to prevent the trunk being opened at valet parking operations.
