Inside tire wear
My inside treads of the front tires are wearing out badly. Could this be due to bad upper control arms or tie rods? I have replaced the ball joints and lower control arm not long ago so I know this can't be the problem. Car has 140k miles. Thanks

When I bought mine earlier this year, both front tires were destroyed on the inside edge. I took a look at the service record, and the car had numerous alignments, aka NOT the issue.
What I did see, and know, is that our cars change VERY little under compression, aka we do NOT gain or loose camber which usually is the issue for the inside edge. However the original owner was only running around 30 PSI up front. On a HEAVY car, and pushing around any corners this is NOT a good idea.
Anyway, new tires, 36 psi up front with 4000 miles lowered via star, and NO inside wear. I through her on the rack just to check, and all was fine.
Try running a little HIGHER pressure up front if you have STOCK rims and tires.
Also check the alignment, toe out, and more than -2 degrees camber are a SURE tire killer on the inside edge.
