Can anyone help me diagnose this noise on my S600

So I bought the car a little over a month ago with the noise, been driving it since it’s been fine but it makes this very annoying noise.

i assumed buying the car it needs an ABC pump and the noise is coming from that area, BUT I’m having some doubts. I’ve read about it possibly being the pulsation dampener, but the noise only increases with RPM and doesn’t stop making noise after 2K..

the best I can describe the noise is it sounds like a car that’s very low on power steering fluid. Or air in the circuit.

what’s really throwing me off also is the fact that the noise is intermittent. Some days it doesn’t make the noise. Rarely but still.

anyways any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Last I read they stopped making the ABC pump for these cars so I do what I want to do.

ABC system works perfectly aside from the screen turning red for a split second when I go over the occasional bump or dip in the road.

The screen turning red for a split second over bumps is failed accumulators . You really should get all 4 done they are regular needed maintenance

Get the kit on top . The 4th accumulator is called the pulsation damper get that too . You need to be a pretty good mechanic with a lift to do this so I don’t know if you can do it yourself

it’s likely the accumulators will stop your whine see this thread
