brianhn1 Mar 31, 2003 11:57 PM

great deal...I wonder if I should find TVs to put into my ML500...

Dizzy Apr 1, 2003 08:49 AM

Geesh, 1350 is a good deal. 2500 is the price I'm more used to seeing. That's why I was so amazed at your original 700 price.

Just keep in mind, sometimes you get what you paid for. Make sure to inspect the quality of the work after its done. The leather must be carefully and firmly tucked into and behind the LCD screens. Don't be shy, ask how they keep it tight...do they screw it in? Glue? etc...

The same goes for the visor tv's. Where are they going to tuck the wires? when they unscrew panels, make sure they are screwed on back tight. I've seen shoddy jobs where a loose panels continues to rattle because the shop didn't tighten the bolts.

Where are they putting the DVD player? Glove box? What about the PS player? You mean PS/2 right? Are they going to mount it in the rear armrest? (I've seen that done before).

Good luck with your install. But don't forget, inspect the work before you leave the shop! That way, they can't say YOU messed it up and they won't fix it.

this place is very good at work. im getting the dvd player in the glove box and im putting psone in the back arm rest ( im not gonna spend 200 on another ps2 )
neways
there going to run the wires invisible down the metal bar of the tv. the place that wanted 2500 didnt even have the tools to hollow out the bar to the headrest so they can run the wire down it.
ill post pics soon. my grandma is having brain surgery at the moment so its not a good time to go get it installed. if all goes well hopefully well have everything by the end of this week

Dizzy Apr 1, 2003 10:16 AM

Sounds good!

Hope your grandma pulls through ok! Good Luck!
