With year of S500 should I get
I wanted to buy the 2003 E500, but everybody on the forum said NO, because it has many problems. Now I'm looking into 2000 S500m, with 90K miles. Does this car has many problems too? Will I regret buying it? I need your help guys

2000 is the least reliable W220 out there. Ii I were you I wouldn't buy a W220 unless it was a 2004-2006.
A cheap Mercedes is the most expensive car you'll ever own.

2005 or 2006.
not to say a 2000 won't be fine, but considering its the first year release for many things like airmatic, distronic (in the us anyway), etc, you are taking a chance.
The price difference is not that big.

2003 S500 61k miles.other than an EIS,absolutely no mechanical problems whatsoever.a testamint to mercedes reliability.the reliability of allmost any "high end" machine is absolutely relative to the way it is used/maintained.

Yeah, if the budget is less than $15k, you should not be looking at a 220.
It appears he already has an E420, that could be a 210. Maybe a decent W140 would fit the bill?

2001 S430
I bought a silver 2001 one-owner S430 with 56K miles a year ago. It had a couple of minor issues, but there is a wealth of great advice on this forum. The guys helped me understand my W220 and get things resolved with little money and aggravation. I put 18" twin spoke wheels and Kumho Solus tires on it...also exhaut tips. It looks awesome and drives like a dream...real head turner. No problems since the first ones were fixed. Go for it.

Go for it
I’ve owned my 2001 S500 Keyless Distronic fully loaded for 6 years. I have had in that time:-
Tyre pressure problem (never been fixed) cost £360
Overheating problem fixed £200 New battery £147.00 New Airmatic pump £700 Services 4 off standard services no issues same as MOT’s no issues.
But everytime I take the car into MB dealership for an MOT they want to replace thousands of pounds to pass it. So I take it to a French car dealership and I have no issues lol (what does that tell y’all) It still drives and performs like it did when I first purchased the car. The only issue I have now is rust starting to appear around the sunroof! Been quoted £2000 to re-spray.
So looking to upgrade to a 2005 model but I will only buy one owner cars that way I can talk to the owner and see what work has been carried-out over the time of ownership. You can then think about what will need doing in the near future... Good Luck
