I am sadly to reported that two weeks ago, some elderly gentleman rear ended
my beloved 2005 S500 4 matic. He mistakenly step on the gas instead of the brakes. My car backend all pushed in, rear window popped out, can't open the back doors, even the roof buckled. At this point the repair cost already past 19k, and they have not add on the suspensions and additional undercarriage damages. I already have someone who will take this care off my hand @ book value. I don't think I want it back even after it is fixed. I might look for a w221. Man, I baby that car, it has only 31k miles. I never have any problem that w220 known for, all problems were corrected under warranty. I done most of the routine works myself with the directions of you forum members. Now, I am off to car hunting.

He was driven a 2010 Honda Accord. Lucky for him that all the airbags worked. The car almost folded up, the engine was up on the windshield. He was going over forty before the impact. I couldn't turn my neck over a week.
Now the better news, I think I found my next car. A silver CPO 2007 S550 4 matic with AMG sport pkg. Pkg 2 with parktronic, rear seat pkg. and only 27k miles. i think I can get it for $53K. It still has almost 1 year left on the warranty plus 1 year of CPO warranty. I will definity get 2 more years of extented warranty from MB that is 4 years of peace of mind. Thank you guys for the supports.

that sucks to hear, someone ran the stop sign and smacked my 430. need a fender ,bumper and headlight but it could have been worse, atleast we are both ok cars are replaceable we arent

Yes, everythings happened for a reason. Now I have to get to know the W221 like I did with my W220. It should be fun. I hope the guys in the W221 forum are as great as you guys. I really appreciated you gentlmen.

Speaking of accidents... My friend(s) got in an accident today outside the parking lot. A new Lexus IS350 and a recent VW Beetle convertible. The Beetle hit the lexus at a 90 degree angle. The beetle had minor damage to bumper, headlight, deployed pass airbag (even though hit was on the drivers front bumper). The IS... not so pretty. Damage to drivers rear door, fender, and it managed to pop the CV joint and throw the wheel off at a funky angle. They tried to push it off the road (after I told them not to because of the rear driver wheel) and watched as it worked its way slowly further away from the car. Stupid.

Anyways. German superiority. Especially over toyota.
