ive noticed quite a few with 03+ front bumpers, theres a few things i can already tell from the 02 vs 03+ model amg sport front bumpers,

anyone got pics of a DIY or just pictures in general?? thanks in advance everyone!

I did not know there was a difference between 2002 and 2003+ front fascia,AMG sports package. What are the differences classyS ?

1) most obvious bumper corner lights

2) defined line in previous 03' models

3) this one was tricky to spot, notice the the more defined edges between grill
and headlights

4) notice how the grill almost sits on bumper opposed to silver lip right below bottom rim of grill

5) this one was difficult to spot but the lip of the car extends further towards the middle in newer model bumper

The most important one to get it to fit is #3. now I see what most members said about having to modify it to fit the older gen. The newer tabs are larger than the older models.

thanks alot guys!! the 03+ amg fascia/bumper looks alot cleaner but from a far, cant notice difference - but i can definitley tell a difference now!!! - overall im very please with my s-class, i appreciate the support fellas and im sure we've all gone thru the mod bug.

2HS5 - ive noticed too!! that i wasnt the only one noticing the tabs are larger but cant notice it from a far - most importantly for the overall sleek look and lower front lip resulting in a lower look on the car, i have a few pics at home that ive saved and will attach later, i think the conversion is beautiful!!

Oh, there's a noticeable difference in the 03+ amg bumper, much larger opening towards the bottom.

so how would you go about changing it to the new look?

Are you going to change out to the 03+ hood and grill also or are you going to modify it to fit the old hood and grill?

yeah not sure how to go about the conversion, i have about 1 hr here at work and i'll post the pics of the conversion when i get home, it seems like they kept the hood and let the tab on the front bumper intact, barely noticeable but overall looks beautiful and clean, i'll post the pics shortly, really nice stuff!!

im home now, here are 2 perfect examples of the conversion on these 2 beautiful w220's - thank you for these pics to whoever took these pics and i would love to know how you guys did the conversion?!!

so ive came to conclusion.. if u notice how the upgraded oem/depo headlights fit 00-05' w220's models which means the hood and fenders should match being the bolt pattern the same across 00-05', all except front bumper with larger tab.. as shown above, it should be an easy same-day install??

I know this is a 2 yr old thread, but I was wondering if anybody knows if the bumper trims for this new amg bumper is the same as the regular 03-06 bumper trims?? I have recently done this upgrade to my 2001 but I'm having a hard time locating the trims.... I just bought the driver side amg one from an ebay seller near my location... but I still need the passenger side.... I called the steallership and they want 200 plus tax for 1 side.... I think the price is outrageous... I see a few trims for 03-06 w220 for sale on ebay at very reasonable prices, but dont know if they'll fit, and neither do the sellers know....
