Electric Exhaust Cutouts.....

Here is the job so far....
DMH electric exhaust cutouts with the stock single center pipe removed and replaced with dual 3" pipes. Additional flares are attached to the flat black cutouts so as not to push the exhaust gasses towards the suspension.
John Nouri from Broadway Performance is the craftsman...

I've always wanted to do that to my E430 for sh.ts and giggles. You have a switch to move the flap over, right?

I wonder how reliable that motorized flap is.

BTW where did you put the switch?

The switch will placed in a inconspicuous spot not chosen yet.
They will open electronically.
The motor and parts on the cutouts are guaranteed for 4 years for any parts or electronics failure, except from user damage.

hmm what are the benefits to having this electronic cutout??

ive noticed on youtube a different variety of high end cars with them, so i figure its no joke to control how the exhaust exits the car

You get a louder sound and additional Hp by running an open exhaust

It's also technically not street legal so that's why the handy switch to route through the stock exhaust is helpful

The boys at Broadway Performance mounted the switch in the glove.
I haven't seen it yet due to the hurricane about to wack the east coast.
GSP is closed below exit 98 and manditory evac for many of the surrounding town. I am only a mile from the ocean.....

Make sure one of the vacuum lines in the engine bay is attached to your wallet. Makes it easier to pay for this stuff.

Props to John at Broadway Performance in Passaic NJ. He knows his stuff with these cars, plus you get to see some cool exotics in there now and again. Ask him how his new Lambo Gallardo is!

definitely!

alas...

au contraire tho, thygoodsir: F!DeL!tIy'$ wallet 8-)

I've noted these biturbo12's do not make rubbersqueal burnout sounds when you romp them...

...merely the racuous calamity of a dozen (one for every cyl) cashregisters bouncing down the freeway.

Cashregisters expelled out of the trunk by vortexes from the devil's twin scrolls.

There is less of an induction note than there is piped-in soundtrack of a stroll across a floor of slotmachines... rings in mah head...

ps. jah, def lookin fwd to my NJ visit and getting a few good things done
