Smile Door locks, door assist, vehicle rising, does not work after change of struts

Hello all, this site is great and its my first time posting. Here goes. I own a 2003 S430, and I recently replaced the two front air struts. The car seems to level off normally. However, I think the air pressure from every other system is gone because the door locks wont close when i press the remote button, the door assist does not work, the trunk only opens with the key, and the vehicle does not rise or lowers when i press that command. Everything worked before i changed the struts. The air compressor comes on and off occasionally and i can hear it now (is that normal?). Please help anyone!!!

I think the air compressor for the struts is a different compressor for the soft close door locks and trunk. Pretty sure thats called the PSE compressor and is located in the trunk

Thank you, come to think of it, I did hear air coming from the trunk at some point. Do you think the PSE compressor is defective.

The PSE Pump in the trunk does not drive the struts, as the PSE Pump is actually a vacuum pump. If you hear air hissing anywhere when just the doors are locked/unlocked, the PSE Pump is good and you probably have a severe vacuum leak somewhere. The PSE Pump, even in its foam-insulating cocoon should make a humming sound. Newer pumps are subtle, older pumps louder. If the car remains dead silent, check the fuse for the PSE Pump first.
Cheers,
Jeff
