S Class: A highly intellectual vehicle.

Has anyone ever noticed their speedometer in detail? Look at the needle which reads the car's speed. Notice how it looks like it floats across the guage? (Such brilliant craftsmanship)

*Also, I'm looking to make my '00 S500 quicker? Does anyone have any suggestions? Exhaust, computer chip, intake???

Thanks

I am not disagreeing but if that alone creates an intellectual vehicle then I guess our Odyssey is also intellectual

I've noticed that once before too, I was real drunk (but not driving) and stared at the speedometer floater, It blew my mind! I just got the car, and there's not much sunlight in the dash so i couldn't see how it did it. One day the sun was shining on it and I saw the groove and figured it out.

No but I am intrigued to see such detail put into a car. I also like the foam pads next to the seats to help prevent items from getting lost. '

Apricotscrub, you have problems with your '00 500? What kind? And what does "CDC Start" mean? I've seen that message in my instrument cluster a couple times.

yeah it works, but its not worth all your paying, but its real classy to chill in the backseat with a girl and 2 beers in the middle panel while using the remote to change songs and radio and volume etc...

Does your COMAND have a sensor bulb that you can see on the front if it? Mine does not, so I'm not sure the remote will work.
How much did it cost?
Thanks

The button I think you need is located over the num-pad on the Comand Unit, It is over "NAV" and the "NAV" button is near the DET and DISP OFF buttons. Over the words NAV you will see 2 clear dots, this is the infared eye I think coordinates w/ the remote. The unit costs around 100$

Btw, wouldn't it be kinda cool if your car could greet you each time you step inside? like a "Good morning, Master ....., please drive safely." and you can turn it off when it gets annoying

where did you buy the remote from? I remember someone posted that they made a file for people with PDAs could use that as their remotes or something.

That second part (the foam pads) shows engineering and real thought! How many times i've wished my older Lexus had that.

comand problems

i've had a problem with my tape player where it wouldn't grab and play the tape. after a week, i tried it again and it seems as if the problem fixed itself. (i guess the car is like a human and heals on its own after some time)

except now when i shut off the car while listening to a certain song from the cd changer, the cd player resets to the beginning of the track of the first cd. which after a few times begins to be very annoying? is there a way to reprogram this? thanks

* what site can i go to to buy goodies to make my car quicker? i was thinking about maybe a chip or an exhaust or even intake. thanks.

Digital B this one's for you!

By the way I am aware of the grammatical error(s) in the subject line of this post. I made them so I can can point them out before you do, therefore rendering your comments even more out of place. Enjoy you f*****g troll:

As a final thought, I guess the utilisation of education doesn't include placing capital letters at the beginning of sentences...
