Confused about top speed, rather ask than test

The S600 gets up to that speed rather quickly...about 5 seconds to 60...about another 5 to 100 MPH...and it's not long after that when the limiter kicks in...at 130 MPH. 590 lbft and 500+ HP will do that.
As far as safe? Well, Y-rated tires (245/45R18) that are correctly inflated will easily handle that speed....width has little to do with speed rating...or safety...

Do not know as licensing varies by state. Details as follows:
If not get an AMG pal and share for parts - eg windshield 2 months new

MERCEDES BENZ 2002 - CL55 AMG Silver/Gray leather interior - all books and records.
This car was ordered with every option available by the then president of MB Canada for the CEO of the insurance company that underwrote MB Canada business. I am the second owner.
The car options include keyless entry/start, wood/leather steering wheel, AMG bolstered seats, heated and cooled seats, rear sunshade, remote rear headrest controls, AMG floor mats, automatic door closures, folding mirrors, navigation, security system, CD 6 pack, active body control suspension (adjustable), remote trunk open/close, bumper warning sensors front/back, Bridgestone Potenza RE 960AS Pole Position tires on AMG wheels and much much more. The body is mostly plastic and aluminium (weight) and impervious to rust. Car since new has been maintained according to or to exceed MB service standards.
All books and records.
In Ontario the car has been branded irreparable after water wet the passenger side carpet, and underlying electronics in the floor – I thought a “nothing event”. To shorten the “down time” during the insurance claim process, the car being in showroom condition was repaired by me, in anticipation of my driving it for many years to come. The insurance company chose to pay me out. I bought the car. It runs perfectly but cannot be licensed in Ontario. Should you be able to license this car elsewhere it is an absolutely sensational deal.
The car has 184,000 kms – no leaks – full up to date service records– all in all a car I would like still to be driving. For you $5,100.

A Mercedes obviously!
My father took his '00 S500 up to 145mph (in the UK) fairly soon after he bought it when it was new. Was a Sunday afternoon and on a clear, new dual carriageway near home in excellent condition with good sight lines ahead. Sadly the road was only about 8 miles long but it was enough to give the 500 a run out.
I've not come close to that here in the US, the police aren't too kind to people doing more than about 80mph where I am.

'02 S430 factory as far as I know, 2nd owner, off lease I believe. 135 mph this Summer out on Route 50 in Nevada. Still had more, I just kinda eased into it. I wish I had romped on it and ran it up faster. Started thinking about the incredibly large ticket and let off.
