Changing the Spark Plugs and wires. This is not a task for the weak of heart. It really isn't that difficult just make sure you have the special wrench to remove the wires from the spark plugs. The most difficult to change are the plugs closest to the firewall on either side.

W220 ABC Fluid Flush tutorial

I appreciate the effort...but...it could be considerably shorter.

Great video Shoff. Astro quite often the devil is in the detail. This is a procedure that has to be done correctly or you could end up spending thousands of dollars.

Also I learned that no matter how many times I watch a professional video tutorial, I can never use it to like do the actual procedure and follow along. I always have to watch that like 10 or 15 times, get it on my head and have the video out next to me incase I have a question which I forgot to note. Even then I end up making mistakes. Maybe you guys are much better. But I haven't got there yet. :) |

And I thought Shoof's details were good, particularly the text on screen information. The method he described is what HAOZ129 posted a few years back and I've done it on my S600. Now that I've got a STAR/DAS set up, I rodeo the car while changing fluid to get a more complete fluid exchange/replacement but the "ABC height button" method at least gets some fluid through the valve block and in/out of the struts. My criticism was on the narration, which had lots of delays while the speaker said "uhhh, you know, ummm"...which slowed the video down. Video isn't easy, but 14+ minutes is a pretty long video. If, like me, or like Shoof, you need to watch it a few times to "get it", then those extra minutes add up. I know that I read HAOZ129's posts multiple times before attempting my first ABC fluid flush. When I do an ABC fluid, or PS fluid, change, I use a pressurized clear plastic container of about 2 gallons to pump the fluid into the reservoir. It's only used for ABC fluid to avoid contamination. I wish I could remember where I bought it, but it's something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Mityvac-MV640.../dp/B004IKM57Y |
