Passenger dcm works occasionally
So 2000 s430 passenger side window seat mirro and soft close stopped working for a month. Every other day seems to work not work then work again. There is a bad seal around the passenger mirror which might have lead to some water getting in but i replaced the seal tight. Then i went to the junk yard and got s dcm. But when i got home realized it says m,1,2, and 3 instead of m,1,2, and e. But i tried it anyway and nothimg didnt work. Left the wrong dcm plugged up startedthe car in the morning and now it works. Im curious to see how long this works or if i just needed to turn the ignition and wheel for it to reset and this dcm should be good. Please help anyone else had an issue

I would take the door panel off and make sure there is no moisture or corroded connections.
There are a couple of DCM models. Older versions have the E at the top and the newer versions have a 3.
Also, it is important that if you have cooled seats you want the DCM with the cool buttons and if you just have heated seats then you want the one with just the heat buttons.
It should be just plug and play.
